Résumé
The presentation is organized into three parts. First, we derive a hybrid maximum principle using an augmentation technique, which allows us to reformulate the original problem as a classical optimal control problem [1]. Second, we introduce a regularization technique based on additional controls and establish, under suitable assumptions, the convergence of solutions of the regularized problems, up to a subsequence, to a solution of the original problem [2]. Finally, we illustrate the application of optimal control to epidemiology by investigating the minimization of the epidemic final size in a hybrid SIR1 model through social distancing measures subject to a limited intervention budget [3]. Numerical simulations illustrate the results.
